Description:	"Guitar virtuoso Joe Walsh returned to Kent for Homecoming 1986. An English major in the early 1970s, Walsh played with various local musical groups before joining the James Gang and the Eagles and then going solo. Walsh marshaled the Homecoming parade, toured the campus, chatted with students and alumni, rocked the National Anthem at halftime, and played to a packed house in the Memorial Gym." Photograph appears on page 285 of A Book of Memories.
