Description: Marsha McGregor was twelve years old on May 4, 1970, the day of the shootings at Kent State University. She was at home with her mother waiting for news of her sisters and brother who were on the Kent State University campus that day. She describes how they learned that her siblings were unharmed and then briefly describes what each of her siblings experienced that day. One sister was at the University School and the other was in her dormitory, Terrace Hall, when the shootings took place. She relays their descriptions of seeing soldiers with guns and tanks on the streets.
