Description: A member of the Kent State University Library staff in 1970, Barbara Bass describes her experiences on the day of the shootings. She recalls walking off campus for lunch, being locked in Rockwell Hall after the shootings had occurred, and using the back roads to drive out of Kent at the end of the day. She also discusses the atmosphere on campus during 1969 and 1970.
