Originally built as the "Lou A. Cummings" at Grand Haven, Michigan in 1883. In 1906 she was owned by P. D. Campbell and in 1907 by O. E. Wilbur, both of Charlevoix, Michigan. From 1911-1917, she was called "City of Boyne". After a rebuild in 1917, the name was changed to "America". In 1931, her rig was changed to a tug and she became the "Bayport", owned by Bay Port Trans. Co. of Port Huron. In 1941 she was listed as a tow for Waterways Construction Co. of Baltimore, Maryland (enrollment transferred to Baltimore in 1938). She was abandoned in 1945. |
