dc.description This Canadian vessel was built specially to run the eight series of rapids on the St. Lawrence River, between Prescott and Montreal, Que. She was built of steel with a shallow hull at Toronto in 1907 for the Richelieu & Ontario Nav. Co. For years she ran with "Rapids Queen" for the Canadian Steamship Co., who purchased her in 1914, and later with "Rapids Prince". This photo shows her when she was on the Detroit-Wallaceburg, Ont. route for a short time (1922) on the Detroit River, under the Northern Nav. Co., which is the northern division of the Canadian S. S. Lines. Since 1931 she was laid up at Sorel, Que. In May, 1949 she was towed to Kingston, Ont. to be scrapped. en
