Description: The iron side wheel passenger steamer was built in 1870 at Sorel, Que. She was owned by the Richelieu & Ontario Line and placed on the upper St. Lawrence River route, where she was restricted in size to canal limitations. She was joined by the "Chambly" and "Terrebonne" in 1871 and in 1874 by the "Trois Rivieres". In 1881, she left Montreal for Berthier and Maskimonge on Tuesdays and Fridays; for Vercheres every Monday and Thursday, and for Berthier on Saturday. After 44 years of service she burned at Montreal on May 25, 1914.
