Description: The "J. W. Steinhoff" was named after the man who built her at Wallaceburg, Ontario in 1874. She was built of wood and was of 312 gross tons. She ran between Chatham, Ontario and Detroit, Michigan. In 1896, she was renamed the "Queen City." In 1896 she was sold to the Victoria Park Steamship Company, and in 1901 she was sold to the Toronto Navigation Company. In 1901, her name was changed to "Canada." From 1903 to 1908, the vessel operated at Owen Sound and Georgian Bay Summer Resort Company of Owen Sound. She was dismantled in 1909.
