dc.description This 1,673-gross ton vessel was built in England by Swan, Hunter, and Wigham Richardson, Ltd. in 1910. She was owned by the Keystone Transportation Company of Montreal, Quebec. In the fog on October 26, 1912, she struck Scow Island Shoal in the St. Lawrence River. She slipped off the shoal into deep water. She was carrying more than a ton of coal. The wreck was sold in 1917 to James Richardson and Son of Kingston, Ontario, who salvaged her cargo. She is pictured here on May 11, 1911 at the Welland Canal while she was upbound. The images were taken from the "Olcott." en_US
