Description: The Lake Shore and Michigan Southern was a major part of the New York Central Railroad Water Level Route. The route, which ran along the south shore of Lake Erie, included the busy Sandusky, Ohio depot. The man in the center of the photo is the station agent. He is standing with a two-wheel baggage truck.
