Eylse (Scott) Green was a freshman at Kent State University in 1970 and she discusses her memories of being on campus on Monday, May 4 when the shootings occurred. She had walked from one class in the Music and Speech Building to another class at Satterfield Hall, and crossed the Prentice Hall parking lot shortly after the shootings had taken place. She describes seeing blood in the parking lot and seeing hysterical students crying, holding hands, and hugging each other. She also describes seeing ambulances arrive, being told to leave campus immediately, and how she got to her parents' house in South Euclid. |
