| Author: | Gonzalez, Rolando |
| Description: | This study examines the relationship between fitness and success in the sport of soccer at the Division III level. A questionnaire was devised to assess the importance of conditioning and what types of aerobic and anaerobic fitness was necessary or a combination of both of these elements incorporated in the program. The questionnaire was broken into two parts and was distributed to soccer teams and their coaches. This sample includes 25 Division III soccer coaches in Ohio and Pennsylvania. The research shows that the conditioning performed during preseason reflects the success of the program. Future studies will be needed to analysis the correlation between conditioning in preseason and the success of a program. |
