A Kent State University undergraduate art student in 1970, Laura Dressler relates her memories of the events surrounding the shootings on campus. She was on campus on Monday, May 4; she was in the old Student Union near the Commons when the shootings took place. She describes an argument she had with a member of the National Guard a few days after the shootings and also discusses completing her classes after the campus had been closed and meeting Allen Ginsberg during the Creative Arts Festival on campus the following year. |
