The "United Shores" was built in Buffalo, New York by the Empire Ship Building Company in 1911. The Buffalo Steamship Company used the ferry to carry visitors to Fort Erie Beach, six miles from Buffalo. The "United Shores" was sold to the French government in 1917. |
