dc.description Chapter 3: Le Roman de Renard comes from a collection of 12th and 13th century comic tales in which the wily fox, Renard, persists in his attempts to outwit the continually credulous wolf, Ysengrin.
dc.description This electronic book was created by Xavier University students participating in the fall 2008 class of Medieval and Renaissance French Literature taught by Jo Ann M. Recker, SND de N., Professor of French, Xavier University. Each student selected an early French literary masterpiece from the 12th to the 15th centuries, and rewrote their selection so as to make it accessible to those with an equivalent of one year of study of the French language.
