dc.description |
The Soldiers Monument was erected in 1904 in the southeast section of Castalia Cemetery. Northwest of the Soldiers Monument is a marker over the grave of Willard Snow. The Snow family - mother, father, and sons Willard and Robert - built the first house in Castalia (1810). Members of the family were taken hostage by Indians allied with the British during the War of 1812. |
