dc.description | The "Acadian" was built as the "Glenmavis" at North of Ireland Shipbuilding Company in Londonderry, Ireland in 1913. She was built of steel and was of 1686 gross tons. She was first owned by Great Lakes Transportation Company of Midland, Ontario. From 1926 to 1927, she was owned by the Hall Coal Corporation of Montreal. Quebec, and from 1927 to 1959, the Canada Steamship Lines, also of Montreal, Quebec. | en_US |
