Description: The " J. S. Keefe" was a steel propeller-driven vessel of 1640 gross tonnage. She was built at Buffalo Dry Dock Company of Buffalo, New York in 1903. She was owned by the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence Transportation Company of Chicago, Illinois until 1916. She was bought that year by a French company named Chemins de Fer de de l'Elat Francaise of LeHavre France. Her name was changed to "Parame." In 1921 she was sold to Glen Steamships, Ltd. of Midland, Ontario. Again she was renamed the "Glenfairn." In 1925 Hall Corporation of Canada, Ltd. of Montreal, Quebec took possession for one year. and then Canada Steamship Company also of Montreal took title. She was renamed the "Canmore." Manseau Shipyards of Sorel, Quebec and then Marine Industries, Ltd,, also of Sorel, Quebec owned her. Once more her named was changed in 1942 to "Ashleaf." In 1951 Yankcanuck Steamships Ltd. of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario owned her. Her name was changed for the last time to "Manzzuti." She was scrapped at Hamilton, Ontario in 1971.
