Description: | The "Spokane", of Wilson Trans. Company, was the first steel ship launched at Cleveland, Ohio in 1886. She was stranded on Gull Island, Lake Superior, in 1907. On December 6, 1935 the "Spokane" was towed down the Cuyahoga River in Cleveland for cutting up at the American Steel & Wire Company. |
